Confirmation brings to fulfillment the work of the Holy Spirit first begun at Baptism. In and through this Sacrament, God abundantly blesses and anoints the faithful with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord are the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit given in the Sacrament of Confirmation.
